TDLR-approved Texas Teen Driver Education Online course, Online classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction by the US-BD Driving School. Everything your teen needs to get their Texas learner’s permit and driver’s license.

  • Complete Teen Online Driving Course Led by the School Instructor.
  • State (TDLR) Approved Online classroom learning led by a School Instructor
  • Immediate DEE-964 Certificate email to you, and you can print

Teens between the ages of 14 years and 10 months and 17 years are eligible to enroll in Texas Parent-Taught Driver’s Education. Teen students must be at least 15 years of age to receive their Texas learner’s permit.

The steps for INSTRUCTOR-LED Texas TEEN Drivers EdUCATION COURSE  include:

  1. Enroll in our Instructor-Led Texas Teen Drivers Online Education course.
  2. The school will monitor your course.
  3. Complete the rest of the online lessons and 14 hrs (7 hours x 7 hours) behind-the-wheel by the Instructor, then the Parent will practice another 30 hrs at their own pace (Instructor will provide 30 hrs Log Sheet).
  4. Begin the online classroom training and complete the first six hours, passing the DPS-approved exam, get the Learner Permit Certificate (DEE-964), and apply for a Texas learner’s permit at your local DPS office.
  5. After receiving their Texas learner’s permit, students can begin the in-car lessons with the designated Driving School.
  6. Complete the rest of the online lessons and 14 hrs (7 hours x 7 hours) behind-the-wheel by the Instructor, then the Parent will practice another 30 hrs at their own pace (Instructor will provide 30 hrs Log Sheet).
  7. Receive Driver License Certificate (DEE-964) & take it to the Texas DPS office for a Texas provisional driver’s license (Having held their Texas learner’s permit for at least six months and being at least the age of 16)

How long does it take to INSTRUCTOR-LEDLED ONLINE Drivers Education?

The course includes 24 hours of online instruction, 14 hrs  (7 hours x 7 hours) behind-the-wheel practice by the Instructor, and 30 hrs behind the wheel practice by the parent. The State of Texas limits instruction to no more than two hours per day for online instruction and one hour per day for behind-the-wheel training.
